Will Smith honoured at the 2016 MTV Movie Awards + Full list of winners

The 2016 edition MTV Movie awards held in the wee hours of Sunday morning at the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, California.

The 25th edition of the awards which was taped ahead of its airing on Sunday night, was hosted by Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart.

Ace entertainer, Will Smith was honoured with the Generation Award while Melissa McCarthy picked up the Comedic Genius Award.

Straight Outta Compton claimed an astounding win in the True Story award category, however Star Wars: The Force Awakens were the biggest winners on the night as it bagged the Movie of the year.

Although the nominees of the awards were decided by producers and executives at MTV, winners were voted for online by the general public.
