There are indications Sahara Reporters, a New York based online news platform focused on Nigeria is under some form of cyber-attack.

The management of the controversial news website made this public on their Twitter timeline assuring readers that they are doing everything possible to get the site back online.

It is, however, not clear why the site was targeted. See tweet below:

A click on the site URL (as at Friday, 11pm Nigerian time) returned the error message below.
