Reigning African Footballer of the Year and Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure, has tipped Nigerian youngster Kelechi Iheanacho, to go on and achieve greatness with the Premier League club.

Iheanacho has put in some fantastic performances for City in the pre-season tour of the USA and even manager Manuel Pellegrini has praised the 17-year-old’s abilities.

Toure spoke of his admiration for the player and his style of play.

“Kelechi is an exciting player. I love the way he plays and I feel that he will have a good career at the club and go on to become one of the players of the future,” Toure told the club’s official website.

Iheanacho scored on his senior debut against Kansas City on July 23 and also against AC Milan in their 5-1 win.
