“You owe your parents nothing, they will milk you dry” | Bisi Alimi advises young Nigerians

Gay rights activist, Bisi Alimi has never been the type to keep his opinion private and again, he has an advice for young Nigerians “who do no want to be consumed”.

In a society where parents are highly revered and caring for their needs is an obligation that children take up because they consider it fulfilling and rewarding, Bisi Alimi suggests that all of this make up for an emotional blackmail by parents.

The controversial drag queen took to his Instagram page to express his thoughts on the topic. His caption read: “If you are going into debt and having nervous breakdown because you think you want to make your parents happy, now is the time to rethink it, you owe them absolutely nothing. Get on with your life, support them if you can and want to, it is not an obligation neither it is their right.”
