During his screening, Onnoghen said there’s no doubt that the judiciary is corrupt.
He said, “We all agree there is corruption in the Judiciary.”
Onnoghen however said he is working to ensure transparency in the dealings of the judiciary.
Onnoghen said in accordance with rules and regulations, “we are working to stem this & encourage transparency in our dealings.”
He also promised that the independence of the judiciary will be reinforced.
“You don’t need to see a judge before you get justice, independence will be reenforced, i wont compromise on that.”
Acting President Yemi Osinbajo had nominated Onnoghen to the National Assembly in February.
