For some reason, Senators didn’t take Saraki’s Facebook training seriously

Facebook simply wanted to help and Senate President, Bukola Saraki, willingly obliged.

Little did the ‘Facebook Senate President’ know that his colleagues were truants, who aren’t interested in personal technological advancement.

Basically, they all skipped class and made Facebook’s trip and motives- a futile venture.

Punch reports that ‘none’ of the 109 Senators attended the training organised by the office of the Senate President.

In spite of the fact that the Facebook team was led by their ‘Head of Public Policy for Facebook in Africa’, the Senators just weren’t interested, apparently.

The workshop was organised for the senators and their aides to train them on holistic use of social media apps and to strengthen their use of Facebook for effective communication

While the senators were a no-show, 25 out of about 500 senators’ aides reportedly attended the event.

Most of the aides in attendance were said to be from Bukola Saraki’s office.
