‘Electric Package’ and 3 other infamous television blunders of Seyi Shay (WATCH)

Perhaps, Seyi Shay’s publicists should prep her thoroughly before she embarks – on any form of interview.

From her rather humourous T-W-O blunder to her latest ‘EP’ disaster, Seyi Shay always leaves us scratching the pores of our heads in confusion whenever she’s on television.

Here are 4 times the singer has caused a social media storm due to her television blunders.

I don’t really know who Amber Rose is

In March 2015 when American model, Amber Rose played host at D’banj‘s 10th anniversary in Lagos, Seyi Shay told Hip TV that she had no clue who Amber Rose was.

This got social media enraged as many felt the artiste who spent most of her life in the United States, was being untruthful.

She later tweeted a rather shady apology.

2 pronounced as /twoooh/

Towards the end of 2015, Seyi Shay was interviewed by Pulse TV, and the singer’s stunning blunder left many people reeling in shock and laughter at the same time.

The singer was asked to pronounce some words which the interviewer spelt out for her, starting with ‘Twa’, ‘Twe’, ‘Twi’, but when it came to ‘two’ – which should be pronounced as the number ‘2’ – She pronounced it as /twoooh/.

Despite the fact that the Pulse TV presenter was being mischievous, she fell hard for it even when the answer was pretty straightforward.

I don’t really know Tiwa Savage

This was another television moment that depicted Seyi Shay in a rather embarrassing light.

Speaking as a guest on Rubbing Minds on Channels TV, Seyi Shay was asked about her relationship with Mavin singer, Tiwa Savge and she said “I don’t really know her”.

Her comment drew the ire of several fans on Twitter, some of whom felt it was a swipe at Tiwa Savage.

Although she subsequently explained that what she meant actually was that – she doesn’t know the singer on personal terms.

EP stands for Electric Package

This is the latest gaffe that has got so much attention from social media.

In an interview on Hip Tv’s Trending hosted by Nancy Isime, the singer was requested to explain what an EP really meant and again, she goofed.

Seyi Shay proudly said: “Of course an EP could stand for electric package”.
