The crisis which emanated from the judgement of Justice Jide Falola in favour of the Osun State Muslim community which negated the State Government’s stand against female Muslims students wearing hijabs on their school uniforms, has taken another turn – and this time it sure looks ridiculous.
The Osun State Christian Association of Nigeria (OSCAN), in reaction to the court judgement, directed that any christian student who was interested in wearing their church or choir robes to school, to start on Monday, June 13.
Some students of Baptist High School, Adeeke in Iwo, took the advice literally as they were spotted going to class in their church robes.
The daring students were hailed by some of their colleagues even as they wore the church garments to class.
