2015: Nigerians are you ready for Muhammadu Buhari?

by James Sambo

Former Head of State, Rtd Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari is set to declare his interest in the 2015 presidential candidate ticket for the All Progressive Congress (APC).

This was made known by an associate of the three-time presidential candidate and former National Publicity Secretary of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), Rotimi Fashakin.

According to Fashakin, the former head of sate was going to declare his interest “very soon” adding that his camp was confident that he is going to get the party’s consent to fly its flag.

Fashakin said it would be a disservice for the APC if Buhari does not get the ticket.

“General Buhari is the only living Nigerian who poses the greatest threat to President Jonathan’s ambition to rule Nigeria beyond 2015.

On the issue of a generation shift in the Party, the Former CPC executive said that Buhari’s government will have the South African model where Mandela came, rescued his nation from the oppressive apartheid rule.

“He did four years and left the scene for younger people. That is exactly what General Buhari is going to do.

“He will do four years and set the nation on the path of irreversible progress and then leave the scene for the younger generation.”

Buhari who ran for the post of Presidency in the 2003, 2007 and 2011 elections , is expected to slug it out with Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar; Kano State governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso; among others for the APC sole presidential ticket.

  1. As long as the North has this OIC and Islamic caliphate agenda, we shall rather vote in a goat who is not a Muslim than vote the so called Moslem deliverer from the north . During the time of Babangida he submitted nigeria to OIC and paid 21 billion nigeria to the organisation for total islamisation of Africa and Nigeria without considering other faiths .
The North? No to your rule , you can rule yourself . Enough is enough . Goodluck may not be doing as some people expect because the Northern Muslims and the Boko haram surrounding him has not given him the chance to .

  2. My prayer is that let us see reason not bigotry and tribalism as yardstick. we need change from this dreadful disease called GEJ. GEJ is worst than EBOLA if you are true Nigerian. what had GEJ did since assuming the mantle of Nigerian Leadership, other than killings and destruction of the Nigerian wealth by stealing through his Petro Mistress. i borrow from Dame”GOD DEY OH!!!!!!!!!!
