Portugal have beaten Mexico 2-1 in what can described as a fairly dramatic third and fourth place of the FIFA Confederations Cup.
Luis Neto opened the scoring in 54th minute, giving Mexico the lead until Portugal defender, Pepe, saved them with an unexpected shot in injury time (90′).
The match went on to extra-time and Portugal’s Adrien Silva gave them the winner in the 104th minute.
Fernando Santos will be quite happy with his players who gave everything to clinch the third place without star player, Cristiano Ronaldo, who was given permission to go see his twins.
