2face Idibia is finally off the market being engaged to long time girlfriend, Annie Macaulay but there are questions still bugging you on how he finally came to pop the question to this particular lady.

What happened to his current relationship with Pero Adeniyi and remember Sunmbo Ajaba?

Nigerian Entertainment Today met the artiste recently and posed the most burning questions.

For one, Idibia said he decided he would follow his heart this year and his heart led him straight to Macaulay. “My mind, my body, my soul, my heart chose her.”

Idibia said it took him a long time to make this decision because “I needed to get there, you know, reach the point wey e be say, gbagam! My mind, heart and everything dey ready. The timing for marriage should not be determined by any outside influences my guy. If you are not ready for it don’t commit to it because some people think you should.”

Making the move on Valentine’s Day was nerve-racking for the award-winning artiste but he said he was sure he was doing the right thing and if she had said no, he would have asked her again.

But of course, there is still a lot of scepticism. How does he plan to be a one woman’s man? Surely it must be hard. To this he said: “Na the journey, I don start so now, abi? Everything needs to change.”

He still remains cordial with the mothers of his other kids and says he understands picking Macaulay over them might be a bitter pill to swallow especially if they still have feeling for him but he hopes they will understand that he followed his heart.

Finally Idibia says finding true love influences his music from now on as it will be more inspirational with a deeper meaning.
