It’s safe to say we were the least surprised when Nigeria’s Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo presented a birthday cake to his wife, Dolapo at midnight on today’s occasion of her 50th birthday.

Since they became Nigeria’s second family in 2015, the Osinbajos have presented us a fresh perspective to life and living in the corridors of power in these parts.

We are accustomed to top families that are rigid and difficult to connect with, but the Osinbajos are for us like the mummy and daddy next door who clearly love and respect each other and give the younger folk something to aspire to – which in social media parlance is “goals”.

As Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo celebrates her 50th today, we found five photos – because that’s a sufficient number to get you thinking about the future – where the Acting first couple give us relationship, marriage and indeed life goals.

This was at the inauguration ceremony in 2015 and we didn’t quite get the picture yet but we suspected they’d be different.

The Osinbajos complete with their children and all we see is sheer joy.
