In the days before, to have some intimate time with your star of choice, you had to pay for tickets to a truly terrible concert, or hope to catch your fave in one of Lagos’ many nightclubs. That’s how we saw Praiz celebrating his birthday in Escape radiating such lethargy and fatigue that it is a wonder how he got home that night. Thank God for Uber.

Anyway, now you don’t need to leave your house to join in on the new favourite activity of your famous faves. All you have to do is wait till midnight, and then go onto Nathaniel Bassey’s Instagram live Hallelujah challenge.

It’s a 30-day prayer and praise event that will be taking place everyday this month, and it’s been something of a hit so far, with 50,000 people turning up for Jesus on Sunday, the 11th of June. People with infinite data (Provided by who? Seriously? We’re not joking) tune in to the hour long session, stamp their feet, shake their tambourines and delight themselves with the massive event that is Dbanj showing up to anything on time.

And if Samklef or Dbanj don’t do it for you, there’s always Kcee and Funke Akindele. At least those ones didn’t arrive with one of their more infamous lines. Also in attendance on that Sunday night were Donjazzy, Tiwa Savage, Adesua Etomi, Omoni Oboli, and Rita Dominic. Given how successful the social media experiment has been so far, and with the sort of coverage its been getting, that 50,000 number isn’t going anywhere but up. Olowogbogboro!
