Last week on Y! TV, we had Olusayo Asiwaju and Ifeanyi Dibia, from Dream Play House, the team behind Prison Chronicles. They talked extensively about their play which is still showing at Bogobiri in Ikoyi and the idea behind it. We also had Lanre Da Silva Ajayi and Doctor Adedayo Osholowu, who discussed their impressive careers and achievements
Today on Y! TV, we will be having Karen Igho and Funke Akindele. Karen is the third Nigerian in a row to have won the Big Brother Africa competition. Crazy, loud and fun, Karen Igho has gotten popular in the past couple of months for more reasons than her appearance in BBA. She is the Nigerian girl with the alleged £4,000 (approximately N1m) silicon boobs. The controversial Karen Igho took home the USD200, 000 prize money at the end of the 91-day intrigue-filled show in the BBA House. Her co-winner was Wendall Parson, a youthful looking pilot.
There’s hardly anybody who doesn’t know Funke Akindele. Her first TV appearance was in ‘I need to know’, however, her career took off rather slowly after then. In 2009 she won the African Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Akindele’s qualifications include an OND in Mass Communication from the Ogun State Polytechnic and a law degree from the University of Lagos. She has since produced several movies one of which is a popular Yoruba movie ‘Jenifa’ and the new sequel ‘Return of Jenifa’. She is also an ambassador for the telecommunication company, Globalcom.
