Sometimes, an attempt at overkill can fall flat.

If any Nigerian artiste was expected to do a cover of Adele’s Hello, it would be Praiz.

After his cover of Rihanna’s Stay, forgive us for thinking his voice could move mountains.

We were definitely pumped up to listen to his version of Hello. We were expecting some goosebumps-eliciting melodies from Praiz.

Not until he released it… and we wished we’d listened to Vic O’s cover first- at least that wouldn’t fall short of expectations.

Praiz’ version isn’t all that bad anyway. It does have a positive- it will get you straight to dreamland.

But then, what do we know? Maybe, Praiz really does deserve praise for this effort, no?
