Ahmed Musa did not assault his wife – NFF

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has said reports that Super Eagles and Leicester city player, Ahmed Musa was arrested for wife battering are false.

The president of NFF, Amaju Pinnick noted this via the official twitter handle of the federation.

There had been reports that Musa was arrested around 1am on Wednesday for domestic violence against his wife, Jamila.

Neighbours of the Leicester City forward told The Sun that Musa was picked up by plain-clothed police officers.

After being questioned, he was released without charge.

“A 24-year-old man was arrested yesterday morning at his home address near Leicester on suspicion of common assault,” said a spokesperson for Leicestershire police.

A neighbour told The Sun that, “Ahmed is a nice guy. He always has a friendly smile. I don’t know anything about his private life”.
