Former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio, has yet again, been detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for further interrogation.
Akpabio was arrested on Friday by the EFCC but was released at night after being interrogated on issues bordering on corruption and fraud.
The Senate Minority Leader, however, denied that he was arrested, insisting that he went to honour the invitation of the anti-graft agency, on his own accord.
Premium Times reports that he was picked up on Saturday morning, and again, he was accompanied by his counsel, Rickey Tarfa as well as some aides.
The report states that he was taken into the interrogation room, where he is expected to spend the next few hours.
