The All Progressives Congress has cancelled the result of the governorship primary election held in Bayelsa state on Tuesday.
APC Chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun, stated on Wednesday, that the primary had been rescheduled.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, Odigie-Oyegun said the election had to be rescheduled due to security issues and the violence of Tuesday.
He said: “The primary has been rescheduled; it had to be called off due to security challenges.”
Oyegn added that the leadership of the party would meet to select a new date for the election.
