The National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress will meet on Monday over comments made by former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar and Minister of Women Affairs, Aisha Alhassan, an official has disclosed.
According to Punch, APC National Vice Chairman, North-East, Mustapha Salihu confirmed this on Friday.
He stated, “This is a national issue. I think by Monday, we will sit and we will address the matter, but I can assure you that there is no cause for alarm. Our party is intact and on ground.”
In an interview with BBC Hausa, Alhassan had stated that she would support Atiku against President Buhari if they both contest for the Presidency in 2019.
Atiku, on his part had alleged that the APC had sidelined him after helping them win in 2015.
