PDP to APC: “We’ve been beating Prince Audu Abubakar since 2003”

Audu Abubakar, APC Kogi guber candidate | YNaija.com

The Peoples Democratic Party in Kogi state, has boasted about its record against the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Prince Audu Abubakar.

Publicity Secretary of the PDP in the state, Prince Bode Ogunmola, also absolved his party of any involvement with the N11 billion embezzlement allegation leveled against Abubakar.

It had been alleged that APC chairman in Kogi had stated that the people of the state should elect Abubakar as governor, so he can return the N11 billion he allegedly stole during his first tenure from 1999-2003.

But the PDP denies orchestrating a propaganda war against Abubakar, while describing APC as a confused party.

“Their claim that we are launching propaganda against Prince Abubakar Audu is untrue and a ranting of a confused party. Their chairman, who was alleged to have made the statement is not a member of our party. Kogi people know the truth.

“To us in PDP, the forthcoming governorship election is about issues, it is about the celebration of a governor who has achieved so much.

We are concerned about telling Kogi people what Wada has done over the past three and a half years and what they should expect from him in the next four years.

Audu is our regular customer. We have been beating him since 2003 and we hope to repeat it again on November 21 with the support of Kogi people”.
