Hundreds of women of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State on Wednesday protested against the attack on the convoy of Aisha Buhari, the wife of the APC presidential candidate Muhammadu Buhari.
They also protested against the alleged attacks on some other women in the state.
Carrying various placards with different inscriptions, condemning the attacks and violence against women, the women, who were led by their leader, Sarat Adebayo, matched from the APC State Secretariat at Government Reservation Area, Ilorin, to the headquarters of the Nigerian Police, Kwara State Command.
An Assistant Commissioner of Police, Polycarp Kpai, received the female protesters.
It would be recalled that she was on Monday attacked by suspected political thugs in Ilorin, Kwara State.
Aisha Buhari and some APC women were returning from a visit to the Emir of Ilorin, Ibrahim Zulu-Gambari, when the attack took place.
They were in the city for a two-day voter education summit for women in the state.
