Army planning to ‘secretly exhume’ Shiite corpses from mass grave

The Nigerian army is reportedly trying to secretly extract from a mass grave in Zaria, Kaduna, the bodies of hundreds of Shiite Muslims who were killed in a clash with soldiers in December 2015.

According to Sahara Reporters, the military buried the Shiites in a mass grave in the Mando area of Zaria.

A contingent of soldiers are said to have been deployed to the site of the mass grave to keep guard at the site.

This move, the online platform says, is an attempt to prevent the uncovering of the hundreds of bodies buried there.

Th report quoted a source to have said that the soldiers ultimate goal is to exhume and take away the corpses buried in the mass grave.
