Bankers NGR, Mildred Okwo’s stalled TV series will finally see the small screen

Bankers

Mildred Okwo, director extraordinaire and head honcho at the Audrey Silva company has been coming through with the hits this year. First she announced ‘La Femme Anjola’, a risque noir film which pits veteran Rita Dominic beside Battle Ground star Nonso Bassey in a steamy tale of infidelity and seduction. The buzz around the film’s groundbreaking performances and progressive editing had even our tough-to-please in-house critic, Wilfred Okiche, positively sold about the power of Okwo’s film making. As we make the count down towards La Femme’s release, Okwo is busying herself by revisiting old projects starting with the refix of Bankers NGR.

She just announced that she is revisiting Bankers NGR, her 2017 Television series which she shelved prematurely before it was released. She is putting it through the works, a rewrite of the script, recasts of some characters and remastering of the footage to reflect contemporary sentiments and character studies of our present realities. As a concession to the limitations of media in the Coronavirus era, we’ve been given the gift of an uncut episode of the new Bankers NGR, straight to your Instagram feed.

Praise Be!
