The day after Gifty’s eviction and housemates quickly adjusted to life without her.
Today is Monday and it’s the day the housemates get to contest for the Head of House crown and nominate who they do not want to continue to see in the House. But let’s start with the HoH contest games.
The housemates converged in the Arena where they received instructions for the game. They each had a bowl of dirt placed in front of them and they had to dig for 10 marbles buried deep in the dirt with one foot. Little did they know that there were pebbles and stones lying in the dirt as well. After the search , Kemen emerged winner and was crowned Head of House by Ese.
Meanwhile Ese had performed her final duties as Head of House by reading out this week’s task to the housemates. The theme for the week is Fears, Superstitions and Phobias, the point of this week’s tasks is to help the housemates bond deeper. They decided to wager 100% of their weekly allowances towards successfully carrying out their tasks. Ese also announced that the housemates would be joined by a celebrity guest.
Since he performed last night at the Eviction show, we could have guessed he’d be the one to walk through the doors. Ice Prince came into the house and immediately got into the mix. He prepared noodles just for the ladies, sat out with the housemates in the garden and had a chilled conversation with them but not without sharing his own story and giving them some motivation with the bottom line: Be real.
The Monday evening nominations came and housemates took turns in the diary room to reveal who they wanted to see evicted from the house. Uriel got the highest number of nominations and it comes as no surprise considering most of the housemates think of her as a ‘backstabber’.
Head of House Kemen nominated fake housemates, Jon and Ese as no one apart from all of us (viewers and of course, Biggie) has any idea those two are only in the house to cause ruckus. Earlier in the day, they had both received a strike from Big Brother for engaging in conspiracy. After the nominations however, we saw a whole new side to the man Biggie. He called on the housemates to pay attention and accused Kemen and Marvis of conspiring to nominate Ese and Jon for eviction. He even showed the housemates a playback of the conversation between Kemen and Marvis. This was the point where he issued a second strike to Kemen and warned that a third strike would mean trouble.
Since Biggie had had enough, he decided to cancel all nominations and said he would decide who would get evicted from the house this week. Do you think this is a ploy by Biggie to ‘evict’ Jon and Ese? For Bally and Bisola who had previously earned advantages that amount to immunity from nominations in different circumstances, today’s drama did them no good as they both lost their advantages.
Before we end this, let’s give it up for TBoss for remembering Efe’s birthday and trying to get Biggie to get him gifts. She has warmed her way into more hearts with this move.
More importantly, what does this week have in store for the housemates? The game seems to be getting tougher!
