Boko Haram now use birds as suicide bombers

Major General Lamidi Adeosun, the Commander of a multinational force in the war against Boko Haram has revealed that the insurgents have devised the strategy of strapping bombs to birds.

The Army General said the Boko Haram insurgents have continued to develop more deadly weapons for carrying out their bloody attacks.

The Independent, a United Kingdom newspaper, quoted Adeosun to have stated that the new discovery was made at a meeting with American diplomats and security officials.

According to the report, Adeosun showed gruesome photos of the victims of Boko Haram’s attacks and their latest weapons during the briefing at the Multinational Joint Task Force’s headquarters in Chad on Wednesday, April 20.

One of the pictures shared during the meeting, showed a bird with an explosive strapped on its back.

Adeosun was further quoted to have said that his force had received intelligence that Isis members were being imbedded with Boko Haram.

He however, added that Boko Haram sect had not satisfied requirements for greater operational coordination.
