“Boko Haram and its sponsors are uncivilised” – President Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan at the end a two day working visit toDutse, the Jigawa State capital described the Boko Haram sect and its supporters as uncivilised insisting that it was crude to kill innocent people through acts of terrorism.

President Jonathan who spoke on Tuesday in the state condemned the option to kill innocent people in the name of protesting whatever the grievance might be.

He enjoined all Nigerians to condemn the acts of terrorism and assist relevant authorities to check the trend which he noted was inimical to the development of the country.

President Jonathan praised the state governor, Sule Lamido, for his unique leadership qualities in transforming Jigawa within the five years he has been in office. He also commended the people of Jigawa state for maintaining peace even while their neighbouring states tend to be hotbeds of violence and terror.

He also praised for the governor for constructing an expansive state-of-the-art orientation camp for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

He pledged the Federal government’s readiness to support the good initiatives and projects of the Jigawa state government towards improving the welfare of youth and encouraging the growth of sports in the country..

The state governor said he was copying President Jonathan’s transformation agenda and also ensuring that the efforts made by founding fathers of the nation were not left to waste.
