Just In: Plateau govt imposes 24-hour curfew in Bokkos

Following the recent series of violence in Bokkos LGA, Plateau State, the government has imposed a 24-hour curfew on the Local Government Area.

This is after the reported killing of two protesting youths by security personnel.

The youth were protesting Monday’s killing of a traditional ruler in the area.

Saf Ron Kulere, Lazarus Agai, was killed by gunmen suspected to be herdsmen along with his wife, son and orderly.

The Commissioner of Police, Plateau State Command, Mr. Olatunde Oladunjoye, who confirmed the development, said the two men were killed when they tried to prevent men of the Special Task Force from evacuating some persons trapped in the area.
