PDP: Secondus hands over to Makarfi

After weeks of controversy that has divided the party, the former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Uche Secondus, on Tuesday, handed over to the Ahmed Makarfi-led Caretaker Committee.

Speaking at the handover, Secondus said the PDP is one and strong, saying that the party is working at ensuring that leaders are produced to lead the party to victory come 2019.

“The party is one and is strong. On behalf of members of the former National Working Committee of the PDP, I am here to handover to the Caretaker committee chairman, we are ready to work with you, we are ready to cooperate with you.”

On his part, the Chairman of the PDP Board of Trustee, Walid JIbrin, said the BoT didn’t take over the party, noting that all the BoT did was to hold the party’s assets and liabilities in trust.

He called on party members to work with the Makarfi caretaker committee
