The Super Falcons of Nigeria have emerged African champions for the 8th time after defeating host, Cameroon 1-0 on Saturday.
A powerful strike by Desire Oparanozie at the 86th minute ensured a victory for the Falcons.
Falcons coach, Florence Omagbemi makes history as the first person to win the continental championship both as a player and coach.
The victory also gives the Falcons their 8th African title after previously winning in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2010 and 2014.
