Are Priests not allowed to do business or what? *Confused face*

Apparently, the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria, Ibadan Ecclesiastical Province, has confirmed the suspension of Rev. Father Raphael Fagbohun on Tuesday, 12 August, for allegedly engaging in illicit business.

His suspension was announced at a press conference in Ado-Ekiti, which was presided over by the Secretary of the body, Bishop of Ekiti Diocese, Most Rev. Felix Ajakaiye.

He said: “According to the law of the church, any priest who is involved in commercial activities without due authorisation is liable to punishment according to the canon law.

Ajakaiye said that the affirmation of Fagbohun’s suspension became necessary after he refused to show remorse and repent as expected by the church after committing the offence.
