Wema Bank Plc has published its list of delinquent debtors on Friday, August 7.
Since the beginning of the week, 16 other banks had published their lists of loan defaulters as mandated by the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Wema Bank’s list has 28 names with S.K. Ajayi Nigeria Limited, BSS Steel Rolling Mill Limited and J.A. Akinola Printing Works Limited occupying the first three positions with N308.73m, N251.13m and N166m NPL figures, respectively.
Genesis Electricity Limited, a firm where Prince Arthur Eze serves as a director is fourth on the list, with a debt profile of N136.93m.
Other debtors on Wema Bank’s list are Great Amason Bearing Limited, which owes N76.35m; Alala Engineering Company Limited, N64.69m; Akhanaton Holdings Limited, N44.22m; and Popsony Petroleum Ventures.
The 28 companies listed on Wema Bank’s list owe a combined sum of N1.26bn.
Other banks expected to release their lists next week are; Standard Chartered Bank and Keystone Bank.
