Former Minister of Education, Obiageli Ezekwesili has revealed via her Twitter page that one of the abducted Chibok girls has been found and identified.
Over 200 girls were in April 2014, abducted from the school in Chibok, Borno state, by Boko Haram insurgents.
Of the 276 reported to have been abducted, fifty-seven managed to escape from the insurgents on the same day of the kidnap.
Ever since, Nigerians have waited with bated breaths in anticipation of their rescue by the nation’s security operatives.
In a couple of tweets put out on Wednesday morning, Ezekwesili said the Chairman of Chibok Community in Abuja Tsambido Hosea Abana confirmed that ‘one of the girls has been found by operatives of the Civilian Joint Task Force in Borno’.
