Chinonso Writes! Shh…My bathroom experience

If the cemetery is where some great ideas are buried, then the bathroom is where some are born. Therefore, don’t treat yours with levity or disregard.

If anyone tells you that a bathroom is where you take your bath, please never believe him. He is only lying through his teeth. Fine, maybe not so, but, certainly, he’s being economical with the truth. I say this with aplomb because, many times over, I’ve been thrilled to discover what my bathroom is capable of. Apart from just providing a good rendezvous for laundering my birthday suit, it’s also a reliable birthplace for breakthrough ideas, unique tranquility, and admirable revivification. My bathroom is a miracle!

Now, if I told you that I wrote this piece in my bathroom, would you believe me? Well, I did. I started writing this piece (in my mind) while in my bathroom and when I was done, I completed it off-bathroom. That’s how it works for me. And as far as I am concerned, I owe it to my bathroom on how far I have travelled on the pathway of making a positive difference in my life and that of others. In short, my bathroom deserves a Nobel Prizes. For what? For Life Transformation! (Chinonso chuckles***) This may sound like a joke, but if many people begin to appreciate the efficacy of their own bathroom experience, they’d be amazed by the huge difference that that could make in their lives.

Whenever you visit your bathroom to take a bath or s**t, allow the experience to empower you and be a time of renewal. It may be that’s the moment when the solution to that challenge may drop. It may be the moment when that spark of revelation would visit you—the time when the idea hits you and all you could scream was, “Eureka!” I can bear witness to that. Of course I know this bathroom formula may not work for everyone, but that doesn’t mean it can’t work for you if you try it out. If the cemetery is where some great ideas are buried, then the bathroom is where some are born. Therefore, don’t treat yours with levity or disregard. Who knows what next great idea your bathroom is cooking up for you? But then when it drops, leave the bathroom and get to site, where the real work is.
