[The Church Blog] But, wait o! Why were the dramatists sharing one mic at the RCCG Convention? #Halleluyah

The welcome service of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Convention is always marked with several activities. From song ministrations, to dance, drama, choreography and varieties of various sorts. In one word, it’s always an exciting experience.

But we noticed something. It was rather awkward actually. The dramatists during their presentation had to share one microphone. Yes, the type they give to testifiers! One would expect that a church like RCCG will be able to afford pinned lapel mics especially at an event of international repute. Truth be told, it looked more like a children church drama than one which was supposed to exude excellence, quality and class. The fact that one microphone was being shared by the dramatists made the whole drama not as effective as it would have being if all the actors had their separate mics and weren’t “ladened” with the burden of having to carry those mics and transfer to the next speaker as soon as one was done with it. Talk of a smooth transition!

But then, we aren’t trying to judge. Believe it or not, this is not an attempt to tarnish the image of the RCCG or trivialize the impact of the drama and the whole convention as a whole.

Some things just need to said, you know.
