A man Wasiu Akolade has begged the Idi-Ose Grade C customary court in Ibadan, Oyo state to end his 12-year-marriage to his wife, Bilikisu, over her alleged refusal to practise the islamic religion and her lying habit.

In defense, Bilikisu alleged that her husband uses a strange balm on his manhood whenever he wanted to have sex with her.

According to Akolade, a commercial bus driver and father of three, sice he got married to his wife, she hardly practised the Islamic religion or observed her prayers as it’s expected of  the wife of a cleric.

Nigerian Tribune reports:

According to Wasiu, his wife was fond of leaving  home early in the morning without his permission and comes back late in the night without caring about the welfare of the  children and him.

The complainant told the court that his wife never listened to his corrections and recently left  home for three months after a fight with the landlady and a co-tenant.

Responding, Bilikisu said her husband fought with her and locked her out because she refused  to have sex with him for about two years.

According to Bilikisu, she refused to have sex with her husband because since they got married, he was always rubbing a local balm on his manhood before they had sex, claiming that her first son was  deaf and dumb as  a result of this act.

“He used one strange  local  substance in a container on his manhood anytime we were to have sex.

“When I asked him what it was, he said it was  to enable me have normal children and smooth delivery.

“My first child is deaf and dumb and I‘m sure it was as a result of this balm,’’she said.

According to her, Wasiu once gave one of their   children eight pieces alligator pepper to chew when she was diagnosed of typhoid, referring to him as a wicked and heartless father.

After listening to the two of them, the court president, Chief Amusa Makinde, urged both parties to settle their differences for the sake of the children.

He adjourned the case till  May 13.
