Notorious for flight delays and generally muddling up take off schedules, Arik Air staff yesterday got the wrong side of passengers plying the route between Port Harcourt, Rivers and Lagos when they were delayed for close to three hours without explanation.

The passengers numbering about a hundred refused to allow passengers on the Arik flight W3 514 embark on the 1pm flight arguing that they had been waiting for hours for the 11am flight which was apparently delayed. This subtle disagreement quickly degenerated into a full-fledged shouting match with the Arik staff on the tarmac trying all they can to calm frayed nerves with little success.

Normalcy was, however, returned when aggrieved passengers were convinced that the 11 am aircraft was on its way to convey them to their destination.

Nigerian airlines are notorious for flight delays and showing little or no respect for their passengers rights.
