EFCC arrests Chinese man with N305,000 in N5 denomination

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), North West Zonal office, Kano has arrested a Chinese man with N305,000 in N5 denomination.

He was arrested at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, en-route Dubai.

Zonal Head of Operations, Dr. Adamu Hamisu Dan Musa, told journalists that the Chinese man, Ma Yongvin, was arrested on July 25, 2017.

He said the man could only speak Chinese and Arabic.

Yongvin reportedly said he planned to us the money to produce an album.

Musa said that his itineraries as shown on Yongvin’s international passports confirmed that he had only been to Nigeria twice.

Musa said, Yongvin failed to offer any further useful explanation during interrogation.

He said investigation into the case was ongoing, adding that the Chinese was still in their custody.
