#EFLCup: Rashford shines for Man Utd | Spurs hit 5 past Gillingham| Man City defeat Swansea 2-1

Marcus Rashford was the star of the night for Manchester United scoring on his debut in the EFL Cup.

United took the lead in the 18 minute through Michael Carrick. Northampton Town equalised in the 42nd minute through Revell.

Ander Herrera restored United’s lead in the 68th minute while Marcus Rashford secured victory by slotting home from close range in the 75th minute.


Tottenham Hotspur put five goals past Gillingham.

Christian Eriksen scored twice while goals from Vincent Jansen, Erik Lamela and Joshua Onomah to complete the rout.


Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City secured a 2-1 victory at the Liberty Stadium against Swansea.

It was a barren first half as both sides find it hard to score.

Gael Clichy broke the deadlock in the 49th minute. Aleix Garcia added the second in the 68th minute.

Gyfil Sigurdsson pulled one back for Swansea in the 90th minute.
