Emir of Zaria applauds Etisalat on renovation of school in his community

Fadi Sanka community in Zaria, Kaduna State was agog as indigenes trooped to witness the formal handover by Nigeria’s most innovative and youth-friendly telecommunications services provider, Etisalat of the renovated and remodeled school buildings as well as the donation of 30 desktop computers to Nuhu Bamali Primary School.

The Emir of Zazzau, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Shehu Idris who was represented by the Fagachin Zazzau, Alhaji Umar Mohammed, expressed his delight and appreciation at the significant interventions in the education sector within the Emirate by Etisalat.

The remodeling of the school, entailed the replacement of the roof, floor and repainting of the entire school buildings and computers to boost Information and Communication Technology (ICT) education, is one of the numerous Community Support Initiatives by Etisalat to demonstrate its commitment to Nigeria through offering innovative solutions that make life easier for its customers, people and generally communities where it does its business.

Speaking at the formal handing over of the remodeled school, Ibrahim Dikko, Vice President, Government and Regulatory Affairs, Etisalat Nigeria, said the partnership with the Kaduna State government was one of the examples of partnerships with government, and affirmed the company’s commitment to continue to collaborate with government and relevant stakeholders across all sectors to provide innovative solutions that will help Nigerians to do more.

The commissioning witnessed high profile dignitaries including the Commissioner for Education, Kaduna State; Chairman, Kaduna State Basic Education Board; Chairman Zaria Local Government Area, Jafaru Abbas, Magajin Garu Zazzau, Alhaji Ahmed Nuhu Bamali and members of the Zaria Emirate council.

Etisalat Nigeria has being involved in different community development activities such as; Free Eye Surgeries carried out recently for over 50 patients in Gombe and Bauchi, Women Empowerment Programme held in Jigawa and Kano, amongst others.
