1. Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie announces intention to be Anambra governor

Son of renowned actor, Pete Edochie, and also an actor, Yul Edochie, announced his intention to run for Anambra governor.

2. Former OAU VC in court

The former Obafemi Awolowo University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Anthony Elujoba, was arraigned in court for alleged diversion of funds, and order was given for him to be detained. However, some students and staff stormed the court, asking for his release and he has been granted bail.  

3. Beyoncé’s twins

The singer finally released photos of her twins and also broke the internet.

4. Governor Ambode suspended a traditional ruler for faking his death

The governor of Lagos, Akinwunmi Ambode, suspended the Baale of Shangisha for faking his death.

5. PDP, after the Supreme Court victory

In reaction to the Supreme Court victory that sacked Ali Modu Sheriff and made Ahmed Makarfi the rightful chair, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), stated that they could solve Nigeria’s current problems.

6. Dino Melaye’s recall process

Having faulted the recall process from the beginning, Senator Dino Melaye, representing Kogi West Senatorial District, finally obtained a court order to stop the process, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), announced that it would obey the court orderbut appeal the case.

7. Etisalat Nigeria moves to resolve her crisis

Etisalat UAE pulled out of the partnership with Etisalat Nigeria, due to the huge debt being owed banks. However, ssuring Nigerians that the company still stands, the name was changed to 9Mobile.

8. PDP Reps declared a “vacancy” in Aso Rock

The People’s Democratic Party members of the House of Representatives declared a vacancy in Aso Rock and stated that come 2019, they will fill that vacuum.

9. “President Buhari is NOT better and he will NEVER return as President” -Femi Fani-Kayode

Femi Fani Kayode asked Acting President Yemi Osinbajo to stop lying about the health of President Buhari as his health condition has deteriorated to a state that he can no longer lead Nigerians.

This article came after Osinbajo visited the President in the UK, met him secretly, and returned with news that the President is getting better and will be back soon.

10. Aisha Buhari and Senator Shehu Sani

Senator Shehu Sani (Kaduna Central), had posted on his Facebook, an animal analogy, and the wife if the President quoted the post and said her husband is recovering fast, also using animal analogies to describe “political happenings” in Aos Rock.
