Cobhams Asuquo releases debut album, For You

Sunday, March 12 is the day that history was made as musical genius and Nigeria’s most celebrated producer, Cobhams Asuquo launched his debut album in a star-studded event in Lagos.

According to Cobhams, the For You album is a product of five years of hard work, prayers and music.

The 14-track album features the hit R&B single, Empty which was released few weeks back.

Korede Bello releases debut album, Belloved

Mavin Records artiste, Korede Bello sets the pace as the first Nigerian artiste to release an album in 2017.

After weeks of counting down, the 11-track album dropped on Saturday with three bonus tracks, the biggest from his two year career: Godwin, Romantic and Do Like That.

The tracks on the Belloved album were produced by Mavin boss, Don Jazzy, Mavin Records producers, Altim and Baby Fresh and the prolific Cobhams Asuquo.

The Belloved album remarkably comes with no artiste feature and even the recently released remix of Do Like That which features Kelly Rowland does not appear on the album.

The album has been endorsed by bigger artistes like Olamide and Wizkid.

 

Ed Sheeran to guest star on Game of Thrones Season 7

It looks like the coming season of Game of Thrones has more surprises in store than we thought.

GoT showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss announced on Sunday that British pop star, Ed Sheeran is set to make a guest appearance on season 7 of the HBO show.

Benioff said, “For years, we tried to get Ed Sheeran on the show to surprise Maisie (Arya Stark), and this year we finally did it.”

It is not yet known what character Sheeran will play but as long as he’s not a whitewalker, then we’re okay.

The second to the last season of Game of Thrones will premiere on Sunday, July 16, 2017.

 

Tyra Banks to replace Nick Cannon as host of America’s Got Talent

Supermodel and former America’s Next Top Model host, Tyra Banks will take over hosting duties of the upcoming twelfth season of America’s Got Talent. 

Banks will be replacing rapper, Nick Cannon who hosted the show between 2009 and 2016.

A press release shared by 43-year-old Tyra partly reads: “I look forward to connecting with the dreamers, having fun and giving hugs and words of encouragement when needed. And maybe I’ll get one or two performers to smize for the audience!

 

Waje is still open to love and marriage

Singer Waje, in an interview with Punch Newspaper’s Saturday Beats, revealed that she has not ruled the concept of love and remarrying.

Waje, who recently dropped a single that speaks to emancipation, said: “I look for certain criteria in a man and the first is that he has to be God-fearing. I don’t need a passive God-fearing man; he has to really invest in his faith“.

The singer also adds that she would like a man who is hardworking, not necessarily super wealthy, but hardworking.

As for physical features, Waje said: “He has to be easy on the eyes as well. I don’t care much about his height but he should be a bit tall because I am a tall person.”
