Seyi Shay debunks rumour she is dating Vector

Seyi Shay had shared a deep kiss with the rapper, Vector, in a forthcoming movie, Lara and the Beat, and it was rumoured that the two musicians could be in a relationship.

However, in an interview with Punch, Seyi Shay threw it out, saying that she shared a long history with Vector even before they became known musicians.

She said, “I have a long and exciting history with Vector before the music and movie. He was one of the reasons I stayed in Nigeria to do music. When I first came to Nigeria, he was the first friend I made in the music industry. He really helped me understand the Nigerian music and told me things I didn’t know at a time. I featured him on the remix of Irawo. I am happy it was him I played a movie role with. It was very easy working with him because I know him well. I don’t know anything about being in a relationship with Vector, but I definitely think Lara and the Beat is a movie worth watching because we both share a strong chemistry.”

Nicki Minaj has been branded ‘childish’ by fans for hitting back at a music writer’s criticism of her work.

The Toronto based music and culture writer Wanna, who has now made her page private, tweeted on 29 June: ‘You know how dope it would be if Nicki put out mature content? No silly shit, just reflecting on past relationships, being a boss, hardships, etc. She’s touching 40 soon. New direction is needed.’

While some fans defended Nicki’s response, others called her ‘beyond embarrassing’.

The criticism did not go down well with the 35-year-old as she perched herself in the writer’s direct messages to call her out for having a musical opinion.

Nicki responded: ‘Eat a dick you hatin ass hoe. Got the nerve to have a Trini flag on your page. You must not have heard the Pinkprint or Pills N Potion, Bed of Lies, Save Me.  My recent feature with Alicia Keys, Tasha Cobbs.

‘Just say you jealous. I’m rich, famous, intelligent, pretty and go! But wait, leave my balls. Tired of you sucking on them.’ Wanna, who posted the private messages on her then-public Twitter page, responded to Nicki, writing: ‘I 100% stand by everything I said about your music and it wasn’t malicious jab, it was a critique.’
