Say goodbye to House of Cards as Netflix pulls the plug

House of Cards fans will be saying a final goodbye to their favourite show as Netflix has announced that it will be ending the show after its sixth season.

This comes only hours after House of Cards star, Kevin Spacey who plays American politician Frank Underwood on the show responded to a sexual harassment allegation raised against him by fellow actor, Anthony Rapp.

Netflix released a statement on Monday saying that they were “deeply troubled” by Rapp’s allegations.

Although the network claims the decision to end the show was made months ago before these allegations, its statement read, “In response to last night’s revelations, executives from both of our companies arrived in Baltimore this afternoon to meet with our cast and crew to ensure that they continue to feel safe and supported.”.

Kevin Spacey will not be receiving the 2017 International Emmy Founders Award he was earlier scheduled to be honored with.

Spacey was to be recognised as “one of the great multi-dimensional talents” who “crosses cultural boundaries to touch humanity” this November.

Selena Gomez and The Weeknd have broken up

10 months after what seemed like the perfect relationship, celebrity couple – Selena Gomez and Abel Tsefaye known popularly as The Weeknd have called it quits.

News of the breakup comes only days after Gomez was photographed hanging out and attending church with her ex, Justin Beiber.

Reports have it that The Weeknd is upset about Gomez and Beiber hanging out TWICE in one week while conflicting reports according to People Magazine says, “Gomez and Abel (The Weeknd) have been going back and forth for a few months about their relationship” considering their music careers have kept them distant.

Selena Gomez and The Weeknd started dating sometime in January 2016 and went officially public with their relationship at the Met Gala in May.
