Toke Makinwa celebrates 32nd birthday with teaser for new project “On Becoming”
Popular OAP, Toke Makinwa is 32 and amidst the excitement and thousands of birthday wishes that rolled in yesterday, she unveiled a new project she claims to have been working in the last one year.
The trailer for the project saw Toke in a look partly Egyptian-goddess inspired with a garland placed on her head and a stance that suggests surrender with the blank expression on her face. The narrative of the clip was read by her and it began with the words “Who am I”? It later faded into voices of other people talking about her life (must have been clips from radio programmes) at the time of her divorce from former husband, Maje Ayida.
Toke strips herself of her make-up and wig and ends with the words “I am becoming”.

Bonang Matheba will be hosting AFRIMA Awards in Lagos
It’s definitely Bonang season as the South African media personality has again been chosen to be one of the hosts of this year’s All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) this Sunday at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
This comes just two weeks after the organisers of the MAMA Awards called on her last minute to host the show after Trevor Noah checked out for health issues.
She will be hosting AFRIMA alongside Congolese broadcaster, Ika Jong and Moroccan musician, Ahmed Soultan.
Ice Prince releases video for Trillions off the J2TW album
J2TW dropped three days ago and Ice Prince has already released the visuals to one of the tracks off the album.
Trillions features Phyno and the video was shot by the prolific Clarence Peters.
