Superstar D’banj and South African queen Bonang Matheba sure know how to play games with the media.

In the past few weeks, there have been speculations regarding their relationship – not just an affair but an intimate relationship that might eventually lead to D’banj quitting bachelorhood – however, we hear things aren’t as they seem.

A source from D’banj’s camp exclusively told us that “it is a publicity stunt. They are having a good laugh over all the media reports. He is shooting a video in South Africa and Bonang is being featured in it. The video is shot and directed by Mazi C.I. Jizzle, in South Africa and is meant to throw up a new perspective and get attention for the boss, he is not in any relationship so to speak for now, that is all i can say.”

As we all know, D’banj’s career hasn’t exactly been smooth sailing recently so we guess every stunt to keep him on the frontpage of newspapers are considered welcome.

Oh, by the way, Bonang is South Africa’s favourite media personality. She’s a 28-year old beauty born in Mahikeng, South Africa on June 25, 1987.

She’s a radio host, TV presenter and style icon known for her electric personality, husky voice and magnetic smile.

She is also SA’s number 1 social media queen and over 7m South Africans are said to listen to her radio show.

And just in case you didn’t know, D’banj has been romantically linked to lots of women in time past. It happened with star actress Geneveive Nnaji when she featured in one of his best videos till date ‘Fall in love.’
