Social network, Facebook on Tuesday announced its ‘Facebook Camera’, a new feature that enables users share photos and videos with friends on the social media app.

The social network also announced other features that are similar to ones already on Snapchat.

Product Manager at Facebook, Connor Hayes made the announcement on behalf of the company.

He said, “We want to make it fast, fun and easy for people to share creative photos and videos with whomever they choose, for however long they choose – and the more we share with each other, the more open and connected our community can be. Today we’re starting to roll out a new Camera with effects and two additional ways to share the photos and videos you take.”

Just like its, photo sharing app, Instagram, Facebook is also introducing Facebook Stories, which lets users share multiple photos and videos as part of a visual collection atop News Feed. The features will allow your friends view photos or videos in your story for 24 hours, and stories won’t appear on your Timeline or in News Feed unless you post them there, too.

The network is also introducing, Facebook Direct, an option that’s designed for sharing individual photos and videos with specific friends for a limited time.
