A clash between farmers and herdsmen in Kodomun village of Adamawa state has claimed fifteen lives, leaving several others injured, Channels Television reports.

According to the villagers who spoke to Channels Television the community had assembled for the funeral of one of those killed few days ago by herdsmen when the herdsmen returned, invaded the community with sophisticated weapons shooting sporadically and setting houses ablaze.

Channels reports that members of the community are in fear, but the Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Ghazalli, says there is no record of casualties.
