Why female undergraduate committed suicide in Kano

An undergraduate of the Bayero University of Kano, Sarah Imoleaya has purportedly committed suicide by ingesting insecticide.

Why did she kill herself? – Academic frustration.

Apparently, Sarah – a student in the Department of Library Science, Faculty of Education – had some issues with her course, which couldn’t be resolved.

According to Bello Lukman, a former editor with Unity FM 93.3, the undergraduate ‘went to the faculty office to see if anything could be done about her case but she found out it was too late to make amends’.

After leaving the office, she reportedly went downstairs, wrote a suicide note and ingested a container of Sniper insecticide.

Sarah was subsequently rushed to the hospital where she eventually gave up the ghost.

Lukman, who made the revelation via his Facebook page, said she left a suicide note saying, “I will not apply for course suspension, my academics is all I live for, if I can’t get it right f… ck existence”.
