The weird way FFK proposed to her and 9 other things from Yemisi Wada’s interview

Yemisi Wada is the estranged former wife of the former Aviation minister/social banter, Femi Fani-Kayode.

The couple split when he was still a minister but together they had “three beautiful and dramatically intelligent girls” who are all successful in their own rights.

Yemisi Wada remarried soon after her spilt with FFK to Mr. Wada and they’ve been together ever since but she recounted the oddities of her former marriage in an interview with Punch, and they aren’t exactly pleasant.

Here are 10 things we learned from it.

1. They were married for a short time. Only three years actually.

2. She has no fond memories of them as a married couple except having her three girls.

3. He would say same if asked

4.  The fact that she has three daughters made it seem longer but she was pregnant with her youngest daughter around the time she left.

5.  She had more family and financial influence than him before they got married

6. He never really clubbed as a young man. He was already serious in politics

7. His proposal to her went like this ” ‘I am in politics and I need a homemaker.’”

8. She doesn’t regret the marriage.

9. But if she would come back to this world and do it all over again (with him)….she would find a better exit plan.

10. Her father had initially threatened to pull her out of the marriage because FFK didn’t want her to work but be a housewife.
