Ibinabo Fiberesima’s closeness with GEJ couldn’t save her job as AGN President

In spite of her perceived closeness to President Goodluck Jonathan, the Actors Guild President has lost her job… at least for now.

A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has sacked Nollywood actress, Ibinabo Fiberesima as the president of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).

According to the ruling on Monday, March 16, by Justice James Tsoho, the election was conducted against court order and ordered all parties involved to maintain status quo.

St. Maradona Mikevine, AGN treasurer, filed the suit to contest Ibinabo’s election as AGN president two years after Nollywood actor Emeka Ike filed the initial suit in 2013.

According to Mikevine, the election that ushered in Ibinabo into office in October 2014, was conducted despite a court order restraining the conduct of AGN election.
